YOUTHBREAK 2025 FAQ

GENERAL

  • Youthbreak 2025 is on Friday Night, March 14th - Sunday Morning, March 16th.

    For reference, this is the first weekend of Springbreak for Austin ISD Schools.

  • Our YOUTHBREAK ESSENTIALS package covers the attendees admission for all 3 days of camp (excluding add on YOUTHBREAK PRO experiences), transportation for Shoreline Church group attenders (if you are going with another church, they will arrange your transportation), cabin assignments, and 6 meals starting Friday Night.

    • Text-a-thon: Write 10 personalized text messages to family members, friends, teachers, coaches, and etc explaining your fundraising goal for youth camp and send them to friends, family, and/or local businesses, asking for contributions to help you reach your target by January 1st. You only need four people to donate $20 and two people to donate $50 to secure the essential camp option without add-ons.

    • Online Fundraising Campaign: Create a crowdfunding campaign on platforms such as Venmo, Cash App, GoFundMe, or Kickstarter. Share the campaign on social media and with friends and family to raise funds for youth camp.

    • Social Media Fundraiser: Use social media platforms to create a fundraising event or campaign. Share your story, goals, and progress towards reaching your $180 target for youth camp. Encourage friends, followers, and connections to donate towards your cause. Go live for an amount of time until you reach your goal.

    • Do some house chores: Ask your legal guardians what you can do around the house to earn an allowance that would help you towards reaching your $180 target for youth camp.

    • Garage Sale: Gather items and clothes you no longer need or want, and organize a garage sale to raise funds for youth camp. Ask friends and family to donate items as well.

    • Lemonade Stand: Set up a lemonade stand in your neighborhood or at a local event. Offer refreshing beverages for a small donation towards your youth camp fundraising goal.

    • Pet Sitting or Dog Walking: Offer pet sitting or dog walking services to neighbors and friends for a small fee. Use the money earned to contribute towards your youth camp fund.

    • Recycling Drive: Collect recyclable materials such as bottles, cans, and newspapers from your community. Take them to a recycling center and use the proceeds to support your youth camp fundraising efforts.

    • Taskrabbit: Offer your services for tasks such as yard work, grocery shopping, or house cleaning on platforms like Taskrabbit. Use the earnings from completed tasks to raise money for youth camp by January 1st.

    • Bake Sale: Organize a bake sale at school or in your community. Sell homemade treats such as cookies, cupcakes, and brownies to raise funds for youth camp.

    • Car Wash: Host a car wash fundraiser in a high-traffic area. Charge a set fee for each car washed and offer additional services such as detailing for an extra donation.

    • Sponsorship Drive: Reach out to local businesses and community members to solicit donations and sponsorships for your youth camp fundraising goal. Offer to promote their brand in return for their support.

    • Talent Show: Organize a talent show at your school or community center and charge an admission fee for attendees. Encourage students to showcase their talents and raise money for youth camp through ticket sales.

    • Talent Auction: Offer your skills and talents for auction to the highest bidder. Services such as tutoring, babysitting, or handyman work can be auctioned off to raise funds for youth camp.

    • Raffle: Organize a raffle with donated prizes from local businesses or individuals. Sell raffle tickets to friends, family, and community members, with the proceeds going towards your youth camp fundraising goal.

    • Fitness Challenge: Challenge friends and family to sponsor you for completing a fitness challenge, such as running a certain distance or doing a set number of push-ups. Get pledges for each completed challenge to raise money for youth camp.

    • Gift Wrapping Service: Offer a gift wrapping service during the holiday season for a small fee. Set up a table at a local mall or shopping center and wrap gifts for shoppers in exchange for donations towards your youth camp fundraising goal.

    • Mystery Box Sale: Collect small items or donated goods and package them in sealed mystery boxes. Sell the mystery boxes for a set price to friends, family, and classmates as a fun way to raise money for youth camp.

    • DIY Craft Sale: Create handmade crafts, jewelry, or artwork to sell at a local craft fair or through an online marketplace. Use the proceeds from your sales to contribute to your youth camp fundraising efforts.

    • Adopt-a-Pet Fundraiser: Partner with a local animal shelter or rescue organization to host an adopt-a-pet event. Raise funds for youth camp by collecting donations, hosting pet-themed activities, or charging a small fee for pet adoptions.

    • Movie Night Fundraiser: Organize a movie night at your school or community center. Charge admission for attendees to watch a popular film and provide snacks and refreshments for sale to raise money for youth camp.

  • The early bird rate offers a $50 secured non refundable spot to youthbreak.

  • At this time, payment plans are not available.

    However, we have encouraged students to do some chores and/or odd jobs to earn their way for camp. For example, if a students saved $30 a week for 6 weeks, they would earn enough money for camp.

  • All registrations are non-transferable and non-refundable.

    *If in the event, the registered attendee is no longer available to attend YOUTHBREAK, their registration will go towards a student on the sponsorship waitlist.

  • There is no better time than now to register! There will be no better price than what it is now! THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION AT THE DOOR! REGISTRATION WILL END MARCH 1st!

  • Yes, we do offer a special rate for groups. If you are considering bringing your group to Youthbreak, please reach out to our Camp Coordinator about creating or managing your group.

  • If you bring a group of 25 or more students, you qualify for group Cabins! Email cary.wright@shoreline.net to coordinate your groups registration. The deadline to request group assignments is March 1st, 2025.

  • Yes! We are always looking for people who able to share their resources for an opportunity to bless a student with a YOUTHBREAK ticket and/or help with our transportation fundraiser. Click HERE to donate. For any further questions and/or concerns please email cary.wright@shoreline.net .

  • Yes! Every student belongs at camp regardless of their financial capabilities. Scholarships will be given to those who meet the following criteria: A $50 minimum deposit per student, Shoreline Church Members and actively attend Shoreline Youth. If you meet those qualifications, click here to apply and our camp coordinator will be in touch regarding the status of your application.
